It is so hard for me to believe I'm already 16 weeks into this pregnancy! The time is flying so quickly. I said that to my doctor yesterday and she commented that it was still early, but to me I'm almost halfway done.
My biggest stressor with this pregnancy was acquiring a vehicle we could fit all three kids in, and we took care of that in the past month. We still have to buy another crib and an infant car seat, but I'm waiting until a community yard sale in May to see if they have anything.
I've started feeling the baby move a bit when I go to bed. I'm still sleeping on my stomach (I feel guilty but it's not uncomfortable yet and it's so much easier to fall asleep that way!), and I find that's when I feel some small kicks. It's so much earlier than with Nathan, but I think that's normal for subsequent pregnancies.
I got the date for my ultrasound - May 18th. Peter is supposed to work that day so he's going to try and get it changed. I'm not sure what we're going to do with the kids - they may come watch, too. It could be quite the party in the ultrasound room! We don't want to find out the baby's gender this time, but I will have to keep my conviction when we're actually there. The temptation will be so strong!
It has been so hot here lately and I have no maternity shorts!! Since Hannah and Nathan were both due in the spring I never had need of them (or a maternity bathing suit), but I definitely have to get some this time. I think we're going to take a trip to Regina early next week so I can buy a dress for my brother's wedding and some shorts and tank tops.
I'm still taking Diclectin for the nausea. I missed a pill last week and was violently ill all day. I can't believe it's still that bad, but I guess I'll just keep taking the pills and try skipping another one in a month or so.
