This was the first Halloween that Nathan was excited to go out trick or treating. Seeing his anticipation of this makes me even more excited for Christmas this year. He's going to be so much fun!! Peter took him out to some houses on our street on Sunday afternoon before work. Nathan has been so good with his treats. Every time I say he can have one, he picks one out and says, "This is the one I want to share with Hannah." I am one proud mama when I hear that! (He's not always so kind to his sister - that is our biggest area of discipline with him right now ...)

Nathan also helped carve the pumpkin this year. I still couldn't get him to touch the pumpkin 'guts,' though! Our poor pumpkin just could not rival those of previous years - the pumpkins here kind of suck compared to those back East ... sorry prairie friends, but it's true. I thought about asking my sister to smuggle one out in her suitcase earlier in the month, but I thought that might be a bit much to ask ;)

Oh, and Nathan was a fireman this year. In case it wasn't obvious from the pictures.

Most of my day is spent keeping the boys from hurting or fighting with each other, mostly over toys. I hope they grow out of it. I thought there might be less friction between boy/girl but maybe not haha.
