Over the past couple of years I have steadily given up most of my tv watching. When Peter works nights I find myself looking for things to occupy my time after the kids go to bed :) Unfortunately I am not on a stitching kick at the moment. By the end of the day I'm usually too tired to engage in one of my other favourite pursuits - cooking - but I'm not too tired to surf and read endlessly online. So ... here I am. I'm working on organizing my photos tonight, as well.
Peter was fortunate enough to take a few months of parental leave this spring and we made the long trek home. We decided to drive, since renting a vehicle for 2 months was going to be really expensive!! The kids did amazingly well on the drive there and back, even though we were told countless times how crazy we were for attempting the drive with 3 kids.
We had a wonderful time at home. While we were there we did a ton of visiting, celebrated a bunch of birthdays, had a big family photo shoot! (see above photo), went hiking, ran a 10k with my sister and Dad, and Peter & I went to the Dominican Republic to celebrate our 10th anniversary (in August of this year)! I'm just in the middle of uploading the photos from the trip to flickr. Unfortunately I haven't taken many photos in the last month or so, as my camera ended up in the Caribbean sea when we were down south. I just ordered its replacement tonight so hopefully my photo-taking will resume within the next week.
